The Problem
Your voice deserves more than a paper diary.
“All citizens shall have the right to freedom of speech and expression.”
— Article 19(1)(a)
India's 543 Lok Sabha constituencies are managed through personal phone numbers, paper diaries, and ward-level middlemen. Citizens have no structured way to give feedback, get heard, or rate their representatives. Seedhi Baat changes that.
FOR YOUR MP
Not just complaints. A tool for MPs too.
MPs get real data on what citizens need — and public credit when things improve. Good work gets seen. Citizens and MPs both benefit.
See what's being flagged
Every MP gets a live dashboard — top issues, ward-level breakdown, weekly trend. No more guessing what constituents need.
Appreciate what works
Citizens can send positive feedback too. Road repaired? Scheme delivered? That goes on record — your MP sees it.

What Is Seedhi Baat?
Seedhi Baat (सीधी बात) is India's civic feedback platform— a free Progressive Web App that lets any Indian citizen report civic issues directly to their Lok Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) in under 8 seconds. "Seedhi Baat" means "straight talk" in Hindi, which is exactly what the platform does: it puts your voice on your elected representative's record, without bureaucratic filters.
How does Seedhi Baat work?
Citizens join the waitlist, receive a constituency-linked account, and then file structured civic feedback — selecting a category (Roads & Potholes, Water Supply, Electricity, Garbage, Street Lighting, etc.), sub-issue, severity, and duration. Feedback is logged against the reporter's Lok Sabha constituency. In Phase 2, MPs and their constituency offices receive weekly reports aggregating all feedback from their area. The public leaderboard ranks all 543 Lok Sabha constituencies by growth score — so every citizen can see whether their constituency is engaged or apathetic.
Is Seedhi Baat free?
Yes. Seedhi Baat is ₹0 forever — no subscription, no paid tier, no hidden charges. The platform is built for India's 900 million voters, including those in tier-2 cities, rural gram panchayats, and tribal blocks that have historically lacked a fast, trusted channel to reach their elected representatives. It runs on any smartphone, including ₹8,000 Android handsets, and works in 13 Indian languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Malayalam, Gujarati, Punjabi, Odia, Assamese, Urdu, and English.
Who can use it?
Any Indian citizen — urban or rural, in a Municipal Corporation ward or a remote gram sabha, a first-time voter or a ward councillor. The platform covers all 543 Lok Sabha constituencies across India's 28 states and 8 Union Territories. Whether you live in New Delhi, Varanasi, Bengaluru, Chennai, or a village in Uttar Pradesh, Seedhi Baat links your civic feedback to the correct Lok Sabha constituency and the MP who is accountable for it.
Is my identity protected?
Anonymous by default. Your phone number is never shown publicly. Your feedback appears in aggregate reports — 47 residents of Pune North reported Road & Pothole issues this week — without revealing any individual identity. You can choose to make your name public if you wish, but anonymity is the default setting. This design choice reflects the reality of civic life in India, where power asymmetries between residents and local officials make anonymous feedback significantly safer and more honest than named complaints.
What is the difference between an MP and an MLA?
An MP (Member of Parliament) is elected to the Lok Sabha (lower house of Parliament) and represents a Lok Sabha constituency, of which there are 543 across India. An MLA (Member of the Legislative Assembly) represents a state assembly constituency and sits in the state Vidhan Sabha. Seedhi Baat focuses on Lok Sabha MPs because Parliament is where national policy — roads, railways, national highways, central government schemes, MPLADS fund allocation — is decided. State-level issues are tracked separately and routed to the relevant state constituency data.
