How to Follow Up on Unresolved Feedback

Published 16 May 2026Share on X (Twitter)

The most common failure in India's civic feedback ecosystem is not filing — it is follow-up. Most citizens file once, receive silence, and give up. Seedhi Baat is designed to make giving up the harder option.

The 30-Day Automatic Reminder

If your feedback receives no response within 30 days, Seedhi Baat sends an automated reminder to the constituency office. This reminder includes your original feedback ID, the timestamp of submission, and a note that the feedback has now been live on the public platform for 30 days without response.

The 60-Day Public Flag

After 60 days with no resolution, your feedback is marked "Unresolved — 60 days" on the constituency leaderboard. This is visible to every registered user in your constituency. MPs whose records show multiple 60-day unresolved submissions will see their score drop — and their constituents will see why.

Filing an RTI to Force a Response

If digital escalation does not work, file an RTI application under Section 6 of the RTI Act 2005. Address it to the Public Information Officer (PIO) of the relevant department (PWD, Municipal Corporation, electricity board). Ask: "Please provide the status of complaint [ID] filed on [date] regarding [issue]." RTI responses are legally mandated within 30 days; non-response can be appealed to the Central Information Commission.

Contacting Your MP Directly

Every Lok Sabha MP has a listed office address and a Lok Sabha email address (firstname.lastname@sansad.nic.in). Send a physical letter referencing your Seedhi Baat feedback ID. Letters to MPs are taken more seriously when they reference a documented public record.

Don't let your feedback go unheard. Join Seedhi Baat and keep the pressure on.
