How to Track Your Feedback Status: A Step-by-Step Guide
Submitting feedback is only the first step. Knowing what happens next — and what to do if nothing happens — is what separates effective civic engagement from shouting into a void.
Your Feedback ID Is Your Proof
Every submission on Seedhi Baat generates a unique feedback ID, timestamped and logged. This ID is your legal reference. Under the MPLADS guidelines issued by the Ministry of Statistics, MPs are expected to acknowledge constituency grievances routed through formal channels. Your feedback ID creates a paper trail.
Understanding the Three Status States
- Received — Your feedback has been logged and is visible to the MP's constituency office.
- In Progress — The MP's office has acknowledged the feedback and forwarded it to the relevant local body (Municipal Corporation, PWD, BESCOM, etc.).
- Resolved / Closed — The issue has been marked resolved. You can dispute a resolution if the problem persists.
What Is a Reasonable Response Time?
Under the RTI Act 2005, government bodies must respond within 30 days. Seedhi Baat tracks MP response times as a performance metric. Phase 1 data shows constituency signup density; Phase 2 will surface average resolution days per MP — a number that will be public and linked to the leaderboard score.
Escalation Path if Ignored
If your feedback receives no response within 30 days, Seedhi Baat sends an automated reminder to the constituency office. After 60 days, the feedback is flagged publicly on the leaderboard as "unresolved" — contributing to a lower MP score. You can also file an RTI application under Section 6 of the RTI Act 2005 to seek a formal response.
Keep Your Constituency Moving
Share your referral link and bring more citizens onto the Seedhi Baat waitlist. The more registered citizens in your constituency, the higher the Growth Score — and the more political pressure your MP feels to respond.
